My windows update used to be automatic. When my Norton antivirus told me that my subscription had already expired, I uninstall it and downloaded free antivirus. However my OS encountered problem during a cold booting and it have to recover from it. I noticed that my windows slowed down and a message told me that several firewall are active. I uninstalled the free antivirus and choose Restore. Since then, I'm always notified of outdated windows defender definations. But when I tried updating it or windows itself, an error message 80004002 is shown. Please help.

If you type the message into google, it can give you a website where the problem is described and the microsoft website can then tell you how to fix the problem :) Good luck!
