I was running Norton Internet Security 2005 and is due to expire within this week. Which are the softwares, included in a Internet security package...like...antivirus+adware+.... and which is the software which includes all these and free or cheaper and better than Norton. and where can I get it?

There are 3 major steps for securing a machine:

-Antivirus

-Firewall

-Anti-spyware

AVG has already been mentioned several times and is easily the best free antivirus software around.

ZoneAlarm provide an extremely good free firewall.

Finally, most people choose to run at least 2 anti-spyware applications and in terms of free choices I would recommend Windows Defender and Adaware.
