Slow norton -?

If I dump Norton and install this free antivirus you guys speak of, does that come with a reliable firewall? If not, can I get that free from somewhere as well? Again, many thanks to you all. You rock. M

windows defender is a good free firewall from microsoft
Norton is a fine program but it will require loads of system resources and memory. Make sure you have at least 1gb of ram. Zone alarm is a great free firewall. I currently have two virus programs, software firewall, hardware firewall, spybot and windows defender... there is no such thing as over kill when it comes to your personal pc.. good luck
Well if try AVG it is not the best anti virus checker.Their was this application I downloaded from the internet exe and checked it with AVG it detected no viruses.I opened it screen went black.Had to restart Windows XP IN SAFE MODE and restore to last known good config.It works now but Buy a virus program.
